Are there any public places that are inaccessible to Hearing Dogs and their mums & dads? Have any public service providers discriminated against you by providing you with a service worse than that provided to hearing customers?
Have any places been super accessible and welcoming to Hearing Dogs?
Let us know who you nominate for a growl or a lick, and keep visiting them with your Hearing Dogs!

Hello Smudge, I came to your blog via Liffey’s and have been reading some of your adventures – I so wanted to see the First Emperor Exhibition, but a bit too far to travel and my Mum doesn’t car for cities at all. You are clearly an epicure, your posts are littered with descriptioons of lovely treats and other food both for you AND your Mum!
You and Mum have come across some incredibly rude and ignorant people, haven’t you? To some small extent my mum can empathise – she says one would not believe how very, very rude people can be about other nationalities, whilst expecting her to simply accept their rudeness and generalisations about her compatriots with a smile and without rancour. She usually gets a comment in though somehow!
I wonder how much of the rudeness and ignorance comes from the city environment? I get to go in shops and pubs and all sorts here in the country and I’m not an HD or any other sort of AD (but I am proud of my new PAT status).
BTW, I feel sure I’ve seen you on the HD website….
All the best for a good weekend,
the inimitable Miss (Vivian) LEIGH the “terrior” (sic)
